James Charles Shull, 77, of Cypress, Texas, passed away June 28th, 2024. Jim was born December 14th, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Willard M. Shull and Margaret (Saidler) Shull.

Jim was a lifelong learner who made it his career to teach others. He graduated from Culver Military Academy and went on to Michigan State University, starting his path as a passionate Spartan fan. He served his country for many years in the Army Reserves and spent his career in Utica Community Schools as a high school math and computer science teacher. Jim was an avid golfer and sailor, and could also play a mean game of bridge. In retirement, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and cheer them on in their many activities.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia; his son, Jeff Shull and daughter in law, Renee; his daughter, Allison Garmo and son in law, T.J.; his son Joe Shull and daughter in law, Katie; and his grandchildren Mackenna, Abby, James and Ellen Shull.

Including his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Shull.

The family will celebrate his life privately and his remains will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
