Obituary

James Worth Sellers, 79, passed from this life on January 15, 2024, in Montgomery, Texas at his home surrounded by family. He was born to the late Junious Worth Sellers and Thelma Hull Sellers on December 10, 1944, in Lincolnton, North Carolina.

James Sellers, or better known by some as "Jim", or "Jimmy", married Martha Browne Sellers in 1967 and was happily married for 54 years until her death in 2021, Jim went on to serve his country four years in the United States Air Force where he was stationed at Andrews Airforce Base, achieving the rank of Capitan and being awarded two Meritorious Service Medals. When he retired from the service, Jim and Martha moved to Houston, Texas where they raised their two children while he worked in industrial sales. Jim was passionate about his family, playing classical piano, and his faith joining Wynwood Presbyterian Church. He spent countless hours with his boys hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Jim enjoyed time with his friends, old and new, and was always willing to be there when they were in need.

Jim is survived by his son, Jonathan Worth Sellers and wife Lisa Sellers, his grandchildren Joshua Reed Sellers and wife Gracie Sellers, Riley Sellers, Emma Sellers, Sara Sellers, and Hanna Sellers

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Martha Browne Sellers, son Edward Scott Sellers, parents Junious Worth Sellers and Thelma Hull Sellers, and brother Thomas Howell.

A visitation with the family will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a memorial service to immediately start at 2:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home-Tomball Chapel. There will also be a funeral held at First Presbyterian Church in Cherryville, North Carolina in March.

Arrangements are entrusted to Klein Funeral Home-Tomball.
