JAMES ADRIAN QUINTERS passed away on Friday April 2, 2021 at the age of 85. He was married to his beautiful wife Marie Quinters for 62 years.  He is survived by his wife; son, Craig Quinters and wife Judy; daughters, Kim Q Cantu and husband Juan, and Lisa Bonnett and husband Rusty; grandsons, Christopher Quinters, Eric Quinters, Taylor Bonnett; granddaughter, Cara Quinters; great granddaughters, Rilee Lafferty, and Hannah Havel; sister,  Margie Reynolds and husband Roland of  Bleiblerville, Tx; brother Phillip Quinters and wife Wanda from Elgin, South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James started his career in the meat business as a young boy at the corner general store, Vick's, as a Butcher. The story goes that he had to stand on a milk crate to reach the counter to cut meat and by the time he was eleven he started learning to interact with the customers. His interest in Taxidermy started as a young boy as well. His first project was a Daniel Boone raccoon hat and, as they say, the rest is history. He was a self-taught Accordian player and Harmonica player. He was a phenomenal writer of short stories and poetry and could recite every one of them by memory. He had an amazing ability to memorize stories completely and recite them whether they were five minutes long or twenty minutes long. Over the years he worked for various independent meat markets and grocery store chains, but his dream was always to have his own meat market. In the mid 1980's James and Marie, opened Plum Grove Processing Company in New Caney, Texas. They moved their business closer to home in the mid 1990's and opened J & M Sausage Company, close to Hooks Airport, and ran the business until they sold it. He made the most awesome sausage, beef jerky, bacon and summer sausage among other specialty meats made up of special recipes all of which were developed by him and still remains a secret today! From there he opened his beautiful show room at his home address and worked solely on his Taxidermy almost literally until the end. He also painted houses, did carpentry work, was a runner, loved working in his yard. He had an awesome green thumb and a beautiful yard to prove it! Those who knew him, knew him as "The most interesting man". But the most important thing in his life was his love and devotion to God. His faith was uncompromising  and he taught everyone around him to be the same. He loved his family very much and "family" was a very important part of his life. Patriotism was a very important part of his life as well. He held in high regard the great men and women who serve and have sacrificed there lives for this great America.

We will miss our precious Husband, Daddy, PaPa, Uncle, Friend, Father-in-law, immensely!
