James "Jim" "Jimbo" Paul Doby, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on September 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Houston, Texas, at the age of 68.
Known for his unwavering work ethic, Jim dedicated himself to providing for his family, often traveling the globe for his company. Despite his worldly travels, his favorite place remained his own backyard, where he seldom relaxed but instead chose to manicure his yard, tend to his garden, cook his favorite dishes, and simply enjoy the company of friends and loved ones.
Jim had a passion for various hobbies, including deer and Dove hunting, white bass fishing, and taking multi-day trips on his Harley with friends. He was always eager to dispense advice or lend his help to others. Jimbo was a true "fixit man." His love for motorcycles, vintage cars and trucks was well-known to those who knew him well.
Throughout his life, Jim faced several challenges, including cancer and long COVID, which he fought bravely. Despite these obstacles, he never lost his fighting spirit.
Jim was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 40 years. He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and siblings.
Jim's kind and helpful nature will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
