JAMES R. MITZENBERG

After a sudden and brief illness, James R. Mitzenberg passed away on November 6, 2025 at HCA Healthcare in Tomball Texas.

James was born on May 27, 1950, in Kokomo, Indiana. He is the son of Woodrow and Mary Lou Mitzenberg. Jim was raised and educated in Frankfurt, Indiana, and went on to get a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University. His degree led to jobs in Ohio, Indiana, and Texas. He retired from Trinity Industries in Dallas, Texas, in 2016.

Jim enjoyed time with family, friends, travel, home projects, tending to his lawn and garden and sitting on his patio with his dog Rosie.

Jim was married to his wife Karen for 43 years where they shared genuine love, caring and respect. Karen was the love of his life where he did everything possible to bring joy to her.

Jim is survived by his wife Karen, his brother David Mitzenberg, sister Carole Barnett
(James), sister and brother in law Judy Aylward (Charlie), Janet Dittoe (Jim), Marilyn Renken
(Randy), cousin Nancy LaFramboise (Peter) and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Special thank you to Vitas Inpatient Center in the Woodlands and to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at HAC HealthCare Tomball, for the compassionate care and treatment.

Services will be private with a Celebration of Life planned at a later date.
