On January 30, 2022, James Conally Miller left his temporary home on earth to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, Winford Conally (W. C.) Miller and Constance (Connie) Talmadge Key. He is survived by his wife, Linda Brown Miller, his four children, Brian Miller, Matthew Miller, his wife Tracey and children, Michael Miller, his wife Heather and children, and Mackenzie Miller. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is also survived by his sisters Cathy Grigory (Jimmie) and Clair Tomczyszyn (Tommy).
James was born in Houston, TX and had a successful career with HL&P and ultimately Centerpoint Energy, where he developed many longtime friendships. After retirement, he made many new friends and thoroughly enjoyed golfing as his new "job". He was an avid golfer and played in many local and statewide tournaments. James loved many sports (especially watching football) and hunting. He led an active life, enjoying his children and grandchildren. He was an inspiration to many.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday February 3, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Rosehill United Methodist Church 21022 Rosehill Church Rd, Tomball, TX 77377. The burial will follow at the Klein Memorial Cemetery, 32539 F.M. 249, Pinehurst, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Rosehill United Methodist Church, www.rosehillumc.org or to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607, www.shrinerschildrens.org .
