James L. McCaughan of Houston, Texas passed away August 10, 2016. James was born in Iowa to Harriett and Dwight McCaughan. James had countless accomplishments in life and shared wonderful adventures with his cherished family.

Mr. McCaughan was preceded in death by his parents; Harriett and Dwight McCaughan, and his beloved wife Nancy Lou McCaughan. He is survived by his daughters; Janet McCaughan-Fletcher and husband Mike, and Susan Causey; son, James McCaughan, Jr. and wife Elena; grandchildren, Bruce Causey, Jr., Samantha Causey, Katherine Fitch, Madeline McCaughan, Angie McCaughan, Emily Lewis, and Amy Beller; along with numerous beloved friends and golf mates.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest.
