James N. (Jim) Maxey

Jim Maxey, 81, of Cypress, passed away on January 27, 2024. He was born on November 11, 1942 in Houston, TX to his late parents, L J Maxey and Joy Maxey.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Garney, his son, Mark Maxey, daughter April Bradshaw, and stepson, Paul Garney. Jim is also survived by his two grandchildren, Trenton Scott and Kylie Scott.

Jim was an Army veteran, an avid hunter, fisherman and sporting clays competitor.

He was the winner of the Heaviest Buck Contest in 1979 in the Muy Grande Deer Contest in Freer, Texas.

He was in sales for over 40 years as a representative in the floorcovering manufacturing business.

He won several National Territory Manager of the Year awards as an outstanding salesman.

He was Captain of the Super Veteran Team, 20-gauge event in Sporting Clays Competition.

Memorial Service will be held at St. Timothy's Anglican Church, March 2 at 11:00 AM, 6819 Louetta Rd., Spring, TX 77379, with Rev. Stan Gerber officiating.
