James "Jim" Voight Arnold Jr.

James Voight Arnold Jr., 57, of Cypress, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Jim was born on May 29, 1969 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Jim graduated in 1987 from Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. He went on to attend Louisiana State University where he played football and earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1991.

Jim enjoyed a successful career with MMR Group for more than 24 years. He most recently served as Vice President and Regional Manager of Business Development for the Texas Region, and was a valued shareholder of the company.

His happy place was with family and friends sitting around a campfire, a hunting camp, cooking gourmet meals, or most of all catching fish along the Texas Coast. He loved traveling the world with his wife, children and friends. He also loved cheering for his beloved alma mater, The Fighting Tigers of LSU.

Jimbo had a deep love for life and never met a stranger. He touched countless lives in ways that will never be forgotten.

Remaining to cherish Jim's memory are his loving wife, Lisa Carter Arnold; his children, James "Cam" Arnold (fiancée Ashley Lawson) and Caitlin Elizabeth Arnold; his mother, Peggy Lynn Arnold; his sister, Debbie Arnold Weaver (spouse Travis Weaver); in-laws, Dr. Randy and Twila Head, Mark and Kristi Carter; nieces and nephews, Randy II, Sterling, Presley, Norah, Jude, Luke, Jackson and Ava.

He was preceded in death by his father, James V. Arnold Sr., and his mother-in-law, Tena Pilkinton Carter.

At the family's request, instead of ordering trees for the family, please plant a tree in honor of Jim's memory.
