Obituary

James Clifford "J.C." Neal, 88, passed away February 10, 2022, in Tomball, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine, parents Clifford Angress and Nellie Frances (Rich) Neal, sister Florence Dodd, and brother Bill Neal.

J.C. is survived by his children, Tommy Neal (Theresa), Ron Neal (Janet), and Janice Provost (Roger); grandchildren Kelly Neal, Clayton Neal (Brooke), Candice Munchrath (Eric), Alicia Schultz (Matt), and C. J. Neal; great-grandsons Matthew, Tyler, Austin and Thomas, and a host of friends and family members.

J.C. attended schools in the towns of Price, Troup, and New London, Texas, and graduated in 1950 from London High School in Rusk Co., Texas. He served as a clerk in U. S. Army headquarters at Fort Tilden, located on New York City's Rockaway Peninsula. In 1954, he came home on leave and married Catherine L. Bailey at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring, Texas, which was their home church for many years. They raised their family in Houston, Texas, where he worked as a machinist for Cameron Iron Works and a vocational training coordinator for Houston Community College. He was blessed with a life well lived and was well loved by many.  He was always a hard worker and a man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened. His heavenly journey was completed just in time to join Catherine for Valentine's Day, which is her birthday, and their wedding anniversary, February 19 th .
