James Ronald Goodman, 78, of Magnolia Texas passed away on August 8, 2017 in Tomball Texas. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Tomball at 10a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11a.m., with Pastor James Clark officiating.  Burial will take place immediately following at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery in Pinehurst.

James was born in Monette, Arkansas to Chester and Beulah Goodman on January 5, 1939.  He graduated from Childress High School in Arkansas and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. James married his high school sweetheart, Iva Manis Goodman, in 1962 in Houston Texas. They have three sons, James Anthony, Thadeus Arthur and Boyd Ray.  James was employed for 29 years with Foley's Distribution Center.  He enjoyed gardening, baseball, and most of all, spending time with his seven grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his father, Chester Boyd Goodman.  James is survived by his wife, Iva Manis Gooodman, his mother, Beulah Goodman, sister, Violet Tipton, his son and daughters-in-law, James Anthony & Kristi Goodman, Thad & Stacy Goodman, Boyd & Heather Goodman and his seven grandsons, Spencer, James Mitchel, Trevor, Tyler, Kole, Westin and Austin.

Flowers and plants may be sent to Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main St., Tomball Texas 77375.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Tomball's building fund.
