James Alexander Glameyer's Obituary
?James "Jim" Alexander Glameyer, age 82, the only child of Alex and Thelma Glameyer, born May 23, 1936, went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.A. and Thelma Mintz Glameyer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Janice Theis Glameyer; adored daughters, Suzanne Hazelbaker and husband Robbie, and Roxanne Elmblad and husband Scott; and his pride and joy son, Scott Glameyer and Cindy Kirk. He was the proud grandfather to Mitchell Elmblad and wife Sabrina, Ross Elmblad and wife Natalie, Dan Elmblad and wife Ashley, Claire Meschkat and husband D.J., Abbey Meyer and husband Tim, his namesake, Alex Glameyer, Josh Glameyer, and Jordan Glameyer West. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Raegan Elmblad, Jack and Charlie Elmblad, Piper and Aurelia Meschkat, Connor and Adeline Elmblad, Luke and Benjamin Meyer, and Harper West; sisters-in-law, Faye Matthieu and Brenda George and husband Charles; his nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of wonderful friends.
Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a faithful member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church of Westfield for 48 years as well as Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball for the past 34 years, serving as an Elder at both churches for over 30 years. He was a member of the Board of Directors for Tomball Regional Hospital for many years. He has a lifetime career in sales for various companies and the Kingdom of Heaven. He never met a stranger and within minutes would know if they attended church or not. He would proceed to witness his faith accordingly.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 27, at Salem Lutheran Church, 22601 Lutheran Church Road, Tomball, TX 77377. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Doug Dommer officiating. Interment with military honors will take place at Klein Memorial Park, SH 249, Pinehurst.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to Salem Lutheran Church Building Fund.
