James was born January 1, 1941 in Houston Texas, the 2 nd of 4 children. Known as Jim to his friends and family, his most loved titles were husband, Daddy and Poppa. Jim was a big teddy bear of a man who loved his family above all things and who lived his life to care for them. He worked at T&H Grinding for over 40 years to provide for his family, still working on call into this year. His work ethic was strong and one he taught to his family. Jim was a lifelong Christian, a deacon in his church and a kind soul with a giving spirit. He had a great sense of humor which he was still able to share with the nurses who cared for him towards the end of his life. He led a simple life and enjoyed a good cup of coffee, a rare steak, time with his family, a good movie or television show, road trips and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gordie and John Ferrill. He is survived by his wife Glenda, his son James Ferrill and wife Susan, daughter Kathy Taylor and husband Gene, and daughter Alecia Ferrill. He is also survived by grandchildren Megan, Krista, Jeremy and Dane and 11 great grandchildren, with one on the way.
