James Child Drury, Jr.

April 18, 1934 to April 6, 2020

James Drury, accomplished actor on Film, Screen and Stage, passed from natural causes at his home in Houston, with family and friends by his side.

James was most known for his starring role as "The Virginian" but had numerous other film and stage credits.

He was a charismatic son, brother, father and a friend to all.  He lived a robust life and feared nothing.

In addition to all of his professional accomplishments, his greatest achievement will always be the love and respect he earned from his fans, friends and family.

His personality immediately commanded attention in any room he walked into.  He had an amazing way of making everyone around him feel protected and important.  His ability to make people feel valued and loved was his greatest gift.

He lived by the "Cowboy Way"

James is survived by his sons, James, Timothy and Frederick and his daughter Rhonda along with several grandchildren.
