James Arthur Doyle, 56, beloved grandfather, father, husband, brother and son passed away on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2017. James was born on June 19, 1961 in Houston, Texas.

After graduating from Lamar High School in Houston, Texas he left home for Austin to attend the University of Texas. James was active in Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Silver Spurs, and was proud to be a "Fight Night" boxing champ. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1984. James loved his Texas Longhorns and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo serving as a committeeman for many years.

After graduation, James returned to Houston to pursue a career in commercial real estate. He soon met Janna Boze and they married on October 3, 1987 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Houston. They settled in the Jersey Village area and raised daughters Jenna and Jayme. His girls were his world and when his granddaughter, Brooke was born she was affectionately called "my little toot". When he wasn't talking about "his girls", James loved talking sports and was very, very passionate about his politics.

James is preceded in death by his father, J. Pleasants Doyle. He is survived by his former wife Janna, who cared for him during his illness and his daughters: Jayme Doyle and Jenna Grenier, husband Brandon Grenier, and granddaughter Brooke. He is also survived by his mother, Joan Doyle and his siblings May Bentley, Pleas Doyle Jr., Joanie De Ayala, and Arthur Doyle. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and his best friend, Steve Gresso.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Klein Funeral Home located 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, Texas 77065. The memorial service will be held at Klein Funeral Home at 10 am on Monday, November 27, 2017 and he will be laid to rest at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 2 pm; 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023.
