James Matthew Contreras, of Houston, Texas, was born on October 15, 1949, and passed away on January 12, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Florenz Contreras and Lorraine Romero Contreras .

James is survived by his long time partner, Judy Coe; daughter, Erin Sifuentes and husband Frank; siblings, Teresa Contreras, Marcus Contreras, and Steven Contreras and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Cruz Sifuentes and Mateo Sifuentes; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation from 5-8pm on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX, 77065.  A funeral mass for James will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, January 18, 2019 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell St, Houston, TX 77007, with burial to follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
