Charlotte Marie Self was born July 16, 1931, in Sacramento, California and passed on September 11, 2016 at the age of 85.  She is preceded in death by her son, Bruce H. Self, parents, Harold Addison Chapman and Anna Clara Wilkerson, Brothers, Ralph Chapman, LeRoy Chapman, and Sister, Geraldine Anderson.  Her loving husband, after 65 years of marriage, James Edward Self Jr. died of a broken heart within 48 hours of her passing.

James Edward Self Jr. was born March 29, 1930, in Fredericksburg, Virginia and passed on September 13, 2016 at the age of 86.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Charlotte Marie Self, his son, Bruce H. Self, parents, James Edward Self Sr. and Edna Viola Inscoe and his Sister Carole Deale.

Charlotte is survived by her sister, Janet Shephard and numerous nieces and nephews.

James is survived by his Brother-in-law, Bob Deale, niece Rebekah Proudfoot and husband, Hunter and their daughter Makayla.

Charlotte and James are both survived by their children, Joyce Connor and husband, Patrick, James Self Jr. and wife, Carol,  Ann Cegelski and husband, Rick, Jeffrey Self and wife, Anne;  Grandchildren, Stephanie Jill Parson and husband, Scott, Athena Nicole Humphrey and husband, Guy, Patrick Brandon Connor, Bruce Edward Self, Ryan Christopher Connor, Jessica Marie Self, Brett James Self, Samantha Christine Self, Makenzie Marie Cegelski, Logan Richard Cegelski, Anna Katherine Self and Allison Charlotte Self;  Great Grandchildren, Jules and Rosie Humphrey and Ryder and Sawyer Parson.

It just might be the greatest love story of all time.  They were married on April 15, 1951 and passed away within 48 hours of each other after over 65 years of marriage.  We find comfort in knowing that they are now together forever.
