James Dean Brown passed away on July, 21 2025. He was a loving & devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather & friend. Born November 5, 1943 in McPherson Kansas, Jim was 1 of 3 boys to Rice Northington Brown & Vena Mae Brown.

At Southwest High School in Kansas City, he excelled as a track & field athlete. Jim attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO and was a proud member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, On a blind date he met a spirited Chi Omega, Linda Ann Haerer. Jim & Linda married on a snowy January 29th 1966 in Mexico, Missouri. They had two beloved children Jerod Keith Brown & Rachelle Nathalie Brown.

Jim's remarkable career, during his 34 years with Aetna Life & Casualty, were a result of him diligently working his way up the organization. His dedication and willingness to relocate led to multiple promotions within various cities. Jim's interests included tennis, golf, bridge, dancing & people.

Jim is survived by his wife Linda Brown, his son, Jerod Brown, and his daughter Rachelle Winsky, husband Mike Winsky and grandchildren Olivia Jake & Justin Winsky.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Rice & Vena Mae Brown and his brother & best friend, Ron Brown.
