James Harold Braly entered eternal rest on October 29, 2016 in Tomball, Texas. He was born to James Finis and Bertha Lee Samples on July 27, 1940. He graduated from Fair Park High School, Shreveport, Louisiana in 1958 and then graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana, Natchitoches, LA in 1964. He served in the Air Force Reserves from 1964-1970. On February 4, 1967 he married Rose Marie Gaspard.  His daughter Maleah Braly was born in 1970.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertha Braly. He is survived by his wife Rose Marie Gaspard Braly of Tomball, TX.  Daughter Maleah Braly of Houston, TX. Brother, Gary Braly and wife Sandy of Cleburne, TX. Brother-in-law, Marvin J. Gaspard of Houston, TX. Sister-in-law Jewel Boulet and husband Dan of Wilmington, DE, nephews David Boulet of Bowie, MD and Jonathan Boulet of Kennett, PA, nieces; Brandi Duncan of Cleburne, TX, Amber Jones of Cleburne, TX and Rebekah Kerstetter of Wildwood, MO,.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and businessman. His family and church were priorities and he enjoyed spending time with them.  He enjoyed golfing, traveling, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed planning the trips and events for the "XYZ" group at Southwinds Baptist Church.   He was a member of Pi Omega Pi Business Honor Fraternity, Northwestern State University Alumni Association, Womens Christian Temperance Union (Honorary Member), and Youth Temperance Council Adult Advisor.

In lieu of customary remembrances and for those desiring, the family request with gratitude, that memorial contributes be made to Gideon International.
