Jacob Michael Casagrande, 20, journeyed to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the afternoon of October 4, 2022.

Jacob was born in Houston, Texas to Dr. Michael Casagrande and Stacey Rodgers Casagrande. Jacob had three brothers, Matthew, Luke and Noah Casagrande. He attended First Baptist Academy for elementary and junior high school. He attended Houston Christian High School. Jacob graduated from high school in 2020.

Jacob attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) for his freshman and sophomore years of college. His declared major was Business Entrepreneurship. Jacob was a talented artist, chef, and athlete, especially finding immense joy as a skilled potter, basketball and baseball player. He also had a passion for scuba diving and spear fishing.

Jacob loved to travel and was an adventurer! He enjoyed trips to Colorado for snow skiing, lake trips for water skiing and fishing, and attending Camp Ozark Christian Camp during multiple summers. This past summer, he was in his element on ocean waters, in the Gulf of Mexico and The Bahamas, collecting shells, interacting with wildlife, including his favorite creatures: manatees, dolphins, dogs and birds!

Jacob was a charismatic and loving son, brother and friend! He was full of joy and brought infinite smiles and laughter to those he spent time with. His faith was extremely important to him. When Jacob was 11 years old, he chose to be baptized a second time because he said that he didn't understand what baptism meant when he was a baby. His second baptism, he professed that he believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he wanted eternal life in the presence of his creator when his time ended on Earth. Since this time, Jacob was very evangelical about his faith and never hesitated to share the love of Christ with others. His favorite music was contemporary Christian music and he loved to go on church mission trips.

Sadly, for the past three years, Jacob suffered from mental health issues. He died with a rosary around his neck, and we believe that he is in the loving arms of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A dear friend of Jacob's wrote "He was a kid with heart like nobody else,. He did the right thing when nobody was looking. He worked harder than anyone for his dreams. He always put others before himself. With his contagious laugh, he had the best attitude about everything, and he was a brother to me." Fridge

Jacob is survived by his mother, Stacey Casagrande and husband, Vance Letbetter, father, Dr. Michael Casagrande and wife, Kristine, five brothers: Matthew, Luke and Noah Casagrande, Jared and Joshua Tidwell, sisters: Cassie May and husband Brian and their daughter, Rosie, Ashley Green and daughter Chloe Green, Kayce Bucks and son, Jace, grandmothers: Claudette Rodgers and Dianne Johnson, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jacob is preceded in death by his sister, Hope Yvonne Casagrande, grandparents: James T. Rodgers, Anne and Eugene Casagrande.

Jacob Casagrande's "Visitation and Vigil" will be held at Klein Wortham Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065 on Thursday, October 13,2022 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. (food and drinks will be served); the Vigil service begins at 7:00 p.m.

Jacob Casagrande's "Funeral Service" will be held at Christ the Redeemer, 11507 Huffmeister Road, Houston, TX 77065 on Friday, October 14,2022 at 1:30 p.m.

Jacob Casagrande's "Catholic Rite of Committal", following the service, will be held at Klein Memorial Park, 14711 Cypress North Houston Road, Cypress, TX, 77429. All are welcome to attend the graveside ceremony.
