Obituary

Jackie Matthews could be described as a man of values, principles, and love. He was a devoted husband to his wife Mary Lou and his family, whom he loved to the depths of the earth. His legacy is shown through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He was a man of sincerity and humility, a strong man who was never intimidated and always the first one to help in a time of need. He was persistent in loving his family and showed it by his attendance at every occasion, no matter how close or far it was, Jackie would not have missed it for the world. Jackie was admired by all who met him, from his large stature, to his mouth-watering barbeque, to the whistle that would keep your ears ringing, he left an impression wherever he went. He could put a smile on anyone's face at any time, and was one the greatest teachers, focusing on hard work and the values of a good man. He was a faithful member of the community and touched the hearts of all who were in it. He will be remembered by his smile, his laughter, and above all his devotion to his family and friends.  Jackie's family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday March 13, 2018 at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 F.M. 1488, Magnolia.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 Wednesday March 14, 2018 in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oklahoma Community Cemetery.
