After fighting a good fight against heart failure our Father called Jack Leland Wier to be with Him in Paradise on December 7, 2018.

He was born September 4, 1942 in Pearsall, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Ruby Wier. He is survived by his wife Margaret Ann Arp Wier of 34 years, his sisters Elaine, Margie and husband Cecil and Sue Nell. He is also survived by his children Shane, Kirk, Stasia and her husband Bradley and by his eight grandchildren Kory, Sarah, Kaleb, Jesse, Korbin, Evelyn, Colin and Michael. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews. Last but not least, he is survived by his two dogs Frappie and Prissy and his bird Wana.

He was a graduate of University of Corpus Christi where he earned a degree in Business. He then went on to work as a Pharmaceutical Sales Executive for over 45 years with Meyers Laboratories, Glaxo and King Pharmaceuticals at which he earned many prestigious awards.

Those serving as pallbearers are: Colin Meyers, Korbin Wier, Jesse Wier, Kaleb Wier, Kory Wier, and Shane Wier.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 14, 2018, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am, in the Chapel at Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Road, Houston, Texas 77069. Jack will be laid to rest at 3:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023.
