Jack Lee McNeil, 74 of Magnolia, Tx died November 17, 2021 in Cozumel Mexico. Jack was born on January 5, 1947 in Ada Oklahoma to Norma and Jack L McNeil. Jack's early childhood was spent moving from Oklahoma to Texas. Jack grew up in Amarillo with his sisters Linda and Kathy McNeil and his friend John Bedford. Jack attended West Texas A&M University graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Jack then attended Texas Christian University and graduated with a BS in Nursing. Jack later achieved his Masters in Hospital Administration from Baylor University.
Jack entered the Student Nurse Program for the United States Army in 1969. Jack attended basic training in San Antonio, TX where he met his wife Marian. Jack and Marian were married October 21, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois. Jack served 20 years in the Army Nurse Corps achieving the rank of Major. Jack retired in 1989 and continued his career as a nurse at Fort Eustis, Virginia. In 1997 Jack moved back to Texas where he and Marian settled on a forty acre horse farm. Jack continued to work as a nurse in Bryan / College Station including time spent as a school nurse for Bryan ISD. Jack and Marian moved to League City Tx in 2003 where Jack worked as a Hospital Administrator for Shriners Children's Burn Hospital in Galveston, Tx. Jack retired for good in 2005 and spent the next 11 and a half years traveling the United States in an RV.
Jack was an avid gardener, golfer, and fisherman. Jack was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a charitable organization of Catholic men. Jack is survived by his wife, Marian McNeil, his daughter Veronica Filips, his son in law Tim Filips, and his granddaughter, Emma Filips all of Magnolia, Tx. Jack is also survived by his sisters Linda McNeil and Kathy McNeil of Waco, Tx.
A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday Dec 9 from 5-8 at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, TX. A private Mass and interment will take place Friday Dec 10 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tomball, TX and Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.

A Celebration of Life for Jack L. McNeil will take place Thursday Dec 9 from 5-8 at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, TX. A private mass and internment will take place Friday Dec 10 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tomball, TX and Veterans National Cemetery Houston. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
