Jack Campbell, age 79, passed away on Wednesday June 12th. surrounded by family, friends and in the loving arms of his devoted wife Martha. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Jack Campbell Sr. And Dawn Myers Campbell and a brother Bruce Campbell.  He is survived by his brother Bruce's wife Marcia Helander Campbell, Richard Campbell and Richard's wife Judy Booth Campbell (and his brothers from another mother) Chuck Felmlee and Juan Chacon. Father to Kiersten Mason, Dan Campbell and Kathryn Jackson; Father-in-Law to James Mason and Jeff Jackson; Grandpa to Bailey, Aidan, Campbell and Denneghy Mason, Jack and Isabella Campbell and Owen Jackson.  Foster Father to Kristy, Michael, Karly and Nicholas.

Born on February 8th, 1945, in Bradford Pennsylvania, after High School Jack enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1964 with lifelong friend Chuck Felmlee.  Both of whom believed the recruiter, and thought they were off to France to become social directors.

Although they looked forward to the cheese and wine that was sure to be served in France, they soon found that the Corps and fate had a different plan.  In 1965 Jack was deployed to Vietnam to fight for our country.  He served one tour as an infantryman and was honorably discharged as an NCO Corporal in 1967.

He married his High School sweetheart Martha Mackowski in 1971.  For 53 years Jack and Martha built a life full of family, faith, charity and love.

Jack was the first of his family to graduate college. He attended the University of Pittsburg-Bradford and graduated from university of Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh,  utilizing the GI Bill.  He was forever grateful, as he otherwise could not have afforded the opportunity. Throughout Jack's life, he and Martha ensured those close to them had the opportunity to attend college.  In addition to their funding of  degrees within the family, Jack and Martha endowed a scholarship devoted to individuals working full time and attending college at the University of Pittsburgh Bradford, to date the scholarship has been awarded to 138 students.

Jack began his career with Wheeling-Pittsburg Steel which took the family to Ohio and then Tulsa.  Once in Tulsa, at the urging of his then boss and now lifelong friend Regis Schuler (deceased), Jack went into business for himself selling seamless pipe to the oil and gas industry.

In 1980 Jack joined Jim Bass (deceased) in Houston at Tubular Products of Texas (T.P.O.T.) as the company's Vice President.  Ultimately, with the blessing and backing of Jim Bass, Jack started a new company, AmTex, specializing in the manufacturing of oil field and pipeline couplings. He grew the business exponentially before his  retirement. While retired  Jack  volunteered for hospice and Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed spending more time working on his ranch and traveling.

In life the core values learned in the Marines; Honor, Courage and Commitment served as Jack's foundation.  He was a man of his word, dear friend to many, proud father, grandfather and a devoted husband.

Whether it was providing bottled water and gas to stranded motorists in a storm,, standing up to bullies, or helping family and friends through difficult situations he was there.   His arms were always open to provide a hand up.  He asked for nothing in return.  Only that you pay it forward when you are able.
