Obituary

Jack Hickey age 91, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away in the early morning of January 22, 2018. Jack was born in Stephenville TX on May 25th, 1926. A Veteran of the United States Army, Jack served his country as an officer in the Korean War. Jack was a talented writer and photographer and wrote many articles for local newspapers as well as published memoirs, "Korea, Up the Hill and Back", "The Last Writes", "Soldier Sister", and "The Young Lawyer".

Jack Hickey will be fondly remembered as a fun-loving Irishman who loved a good joke and a good scotch. He also loved playing tennis with his wife and best buddies at Giammalva Racqet Club in Houston, TX.

He is survived by his wife; Irene Hickey, daughter; Kara Higginbotham, son; Armando Dawdy, grandsons; Ricky Best, Jordan Higginbotham, Liam Dawdy and Connor Dawdy; great grandchildren, Madalyn and Beckham Best. Jack was proceeded in death by his daughter, Kay Higgins.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Saturday January 27, 2018 at the Klein Funeral Home in Tomball.
