John (Jack) Connor, age 83, died peacefully on February 15, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer. Jack was born August 22, 1937 in Akron, Ohio. He was the oldest of four children born to John and Ethel Connor.

Jack's childhood and secondary education were spread across a number of states. He returned to Ohio to attend Baldwin Wallace College. Four years later with his BA degree in hand and chasing his childhood dream, Jack entered the US Navy flight training program in Pensacola, Florida. Upon completion, he had Navy Wings of gold, a rank of Ensign and his southern bride Sara Alice Hutto. After Atlantic and Pacific cruises, 420 carrier landings and 2 tours in Vietnam, Jack transitioned to civilian life and his growing family. His love of the Navy and his country remained with him always.

The next 25 years were spent in the oil and aviation industries including positions at Shell Oil, Elf Aquitaine, and TW Oil. Jack retired from Continental Airlines in 2001.  Retirement opened the door for cruises and travel with Sara, happy times with the children and three grandchildren and golf. {Not necessarily in that order) Jack's friends at Blackhorse and his golf buddies were very special to him.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sara, and his children: John Jeffrey and his wife Kilani, Alison Connor, Kim Glaser and husband Matt; grandchildren: Peyton Kennington and husband Hilton, Allie Porter and Kyle Connor. Jack is also survived by two brothers and a sister:  Timothy Connor of Huntersville, NC, Kevin Connor and his wife Nancy of Vero Beach, FL., Marantha Edwards and husband Leon of Leesburg, VA. Jack was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.
