J. Cole Jungers, 81, of Hempstead, TX, passed away February 8, 2022.  He was born January 17th, 1941 in Johnson County, IL to Dolphie and Mildred Jungers.  Cole was one of five children: Walter Gene Bullock - wife: Barb Bullock, Wayne Bullock - wife Terry Bullock, Lonora DeWalt - husband: Gary DeWalt, Betty Baker and Larry Bullock - wife: Karen Bullock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wayne Bullock, his granddaughter Brandee Jungers and his great grandson Wesley Weishaupt.

Cole is survived by his sons Marc Jungers - wife: Michelle Jungers of Hempstead, TX; Chad Jungers of Morton, IL; and daughter Kathy Naramore - husband: Orin Naramore of East Peoria, IL. Grandchildren: (12) Lindsey Jungers-Hoffman - husband: Collen Thompson, Brody Jungers - wife: Kristin Jungers, Steffany Weishaupt, Zak Jungers - wife: Joanie Jungers, Grace Jungers, Cassie Jungers, Amber Fernandes - husband: Cody Fernandes, and Morgan Naramore. Great Grandchildren: (9) Elizabeth Jungers, Emma and Braden Hoffman, CJ and Liam Thompson, Evelynn and Waylon Cole Jungers, Lily Ray and Joshua Weishaupt.  As well as numerous other family members and friends.

He believed in living life in the fast lane and to the fullest. He once said, "If I knew I was going to live this long, I wouldn't have had so much fun."

Cole was known for making friends everywhere he went, racing cars, building street rods and his great love of owning, breeding, training, selling and racing Quarter Horses. Many friends would say that his study of horse pedigrees and his eye for picking a great race horse was second to none.

His early career accomplishments include: selling the sale topper horse of the 1976 All American Sale, the selling of champion horses such as Little Blue Sheep, being part of the syndication of Dash for Cash, and the sale of South Fork Ranch. Most recent accomplishments include: qualifying in the 2020 Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity as an owner with Wryker and qualifying in the 2021 All American Derby as an owner/ breeder with Flash Riley. Many would agree that the Quarter Horse industry has lost another great horseman.

Cole was proud of so many of his life's accomplishments but always believed his greatest success story was his family.
