Ivy Brown 92 left this world to spend eternity with the love of her life, Jack, on November 29, 2023. Ivy was born on October 2, 1931, in Riga, Latvia to Ilmar and Gertrude Kist. She was the oldest of 3 children and later during WWII, her family relocated first to Poznan' Poland, and then to Regensburg Germany. It was there during the Korean War she met and fell in love with an American GI John (Jack) Brown Jr. They were married there on July 24, 1954, and moved to the US where they lived in New Jersey and then Texas.
Ivy is survived by her brother Ivar Kist, sister Hannelore Kist 2 sons Mark and wife Cindy of Athens, Tx, Mike and wife Donna of Eureka Tx, and daughter Michelle and husband Curtis Ford of Bellville Tx, 6 grandchildren, Jennifer and Christina Brown, Kimberly Kasin, Chris Brown, Amanda Feiertag, Amie Strech, and 10 great-grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Jaiden Alley, Jackson Brown, Carter & Avery Kasin, Addilynn & Emily Feiertag, Luke, Linley, and Elliott Strech She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack Brown, and her parents, Ilmar and Gertrude Kist.
The family would like to especially thank Jeanne, Stacie, and Camrey for the loving care they gave to Ivy.
