Iven Robert Wall Sr, 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 28, 2023, in Spring, Texas with his loving wife and sister at his side. He was born on February 20, 1945, in Brumley, Missouri, to his parents Ina and Wayne Wall.
Iven was a fun-loving man who loved his family deeply. He was a loving husband to his wife Glenna K. Wall and a proud and doting father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his wife Glenna Wall of Spring Tx, his children Iven Jr. and wife Glenda Wall of Bastrop Tx, Brett and wife Stephanie Wall of Portland Tn, Brian Wall of Round Rock Tx and David Moore of Humble Tx; grandchildren Alyssa Bullard, Ty Bullard of Bastrop Tx, Anthony and wife Jillian Wall of Bastrop Tx and Austin Wall also of Bastrop Tx, Michael Wall of Cross Plains Tn, Geoffrey Wall of Hendersonville Tn and Jordan Wall of Portland Tn; great-grandchildren Emersyn and Adalee Bullard, Cooper and Hudson Wall and Adelyn Wall; siblings Dallas and wife Patsy Wall of Quapaw Ok, Brenda Wall Long of Schertz Tx, and Charles and wife Jennifer Wall of Holts Summit Mo. He is also survived by many numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Iven was preceded in death by his parent's, Ina and Wayne Wall and brother in law, William Long.
Iven graduated from Miami High School in Miami, Oklahoma, in 1963. He later attended Northeast Oklahoma A&M, where he graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Iven had many occupations throughout his life. He served as a police officer in Miami, Oklahoma, and later worked as a prison guard at the Missouri State Penitentiary in Jefferson City, Missouri and was also a manager for the inmate store. Later in life, he became involved in sales and continued this for the remainder of his work life.
Iven was a man of many hobbies. He loved to sing and play his guitar. He formed the gospel group, The Singing Soulwinners and played and sang with numerous other gospel groups. He appeared and sang on the Trinity Broadcasting Network multiple times and even sang for Lady Bird Johnson at the annual lighting of the LBJ Ranch Christmas tree. He loved watching Westerns on TV, especially The Virginian with James Drury, who later became his dear friend. He also loved the mountains of Colorado and enjoyed traveling through them with his wife.
Memorial services for Iven Wall Sr will be held at Springs of Living Water, located at 5901 Treaschwig Rd, Spring, TX at 11am on Saturday May 6th, 2023 . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
