Iven Levonne Norton of Magnolia, Tx passed peacefully at home on Friday, September 13, 2024.  Services will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354 on Thursday, September 26, 2024.  Visitation will be at 1pm, followed by services at 2pm.

He is predeceased by his longtime love and wife, Mary Norton, as well as three brothers, Lewis Norton, James Norton, and Elzie Norton and two sisters, Bernice Norton and Carrie Sheldon.

Survivors include his son Bruce Norton of Magnolia, Tx as well as his daughter Sharon Allison and husband Mal of Tomball, TX. He also leaves behind four grandchildren…Dillon Norton and wife Jessie, Alana Norton, Derek Allison and wife Tiffany, and Shelby Gibbs and husband Kenny. Great grandchildren include Bella Norton, Beau Norton, Charlotte Norton, Wyatt Allison, and Logan Allison. Also surviving him are three sisters…Pauline Terry, Alice Doggett, and Marie Pixley, as well as one brother, Odis Norton and his wife Peggy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Levonne was an East Texas native and grew up in Shelbyville, TX. Following graduation from Shelbyville High School he had various jobs and eventually settled in the Vidor, TX area where he met and married his love, Mary Lee. He instantly became the dad of two little ones and lovingly adopted both of them in 1960. While he held a variety of jobs in the early years, he eventually relocated his family to Oak Forest in Houston, TX and went to work for Zuber Tire Company. In later years Zuber Tire became Bridgestone/GCR from which he retired after 40 plus years.

His family will miss him greatly, but we know that he is well in his eternal home. By God's grace we will see him again one day.
