Irvin "Gene" Batterton, 83, of Houston, TX passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. Gene was born in Morris, Oklahoma, March 27, 1933 to Irvin and Cora Batterton. He graduated from Oklahoma University with a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering. Gene was employed with Black-Sivalls and Bryson for many years and later was President of International Technologies. He was a faithful member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Houston.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Cora Batterton; his brother Virgil Batterton; his sister Christina Bryce.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Martha; children, Charlotte Henderson and husband Richard, Michael Dingler and wife Victoria, Carlisa Krenek and husband Gary, William Dingler and wife Cecilia; 7 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and brother, Randall Batterton.

Gene loved to travel, cook and loved spending time with his family. He and Martha enjoyed many cruises together and with good friends.

A funeral service will be 3PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Klein Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 2-3PM before the service. A private interment will be held at a later date.
