Irene Elizabeth Niemann, age 93, peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, November 16, 2020. She was born on October 14, 1927 to Edward and Clara Hassler of Klein, Texas.
She was married to Delbert Langston on November 30, 1944 with whom she had 4 children with, Charles, Rodley Mac, Reginald and Dwana. After his passing, Irene remarried to Arthur Niemann on November 1, 1970. She was the oldest of 10 children and her extensive family has deep roots within the Spring Klein community.
Irene was a lifetime member of Trinity Klein Lutheran Church and she enjoyed studying her bible, singing hymns and the warm fellowship she experienced through the church. She was always on the phone catching up with family and friends, especially later life when she couldn't get out as much. She loved being outdoors and getting her hands dirty in her flowerbeds and maintaining her lawn as they were a constant source of therapy for her. She also was a master with a needle and thread. She spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces of art through crocheting, quilting, stitching and all areas of needlework. She made it a point to make everyone in her family a quilt (or 2 or 3!) and various crocheted pieces throughout the years.
