Irene Gagnon LaPorta, age 85, died in Tomball, Texas on Wednesday June 22, 2017. She was born in Waterbury Connecticut to Edward and Helen Gagnon and lived there most of her life. She was the eldest in a family of 5 children.  Survivors include 4 daughters, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 1 brother.  She was married to John LaPorta until his death in 2011, just one month short of 60 years.  She spent much of the last 20 years in Nevada and Texas.

Irene was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, daughter, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered most for her kindness and compassion, and her devotion to her family.

Services will be held at 2pm on September 15 at the Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main Street Tomball TX. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service.
