Irene Arras Rochin passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday July 28, 2016.  She was blessed with a fruitful life during her 94 years and she lived her life in an exemplary manner always with a positive attitude and outlook on life.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 60+ years, Francisco Rochin, as well as her parents, brothers, and sisters. She is survived by her children Francisco, Fatima, Sergio Marcos, and Alonso. She will also be missed by her daughters-in-law Maria de Jesus, Diana, and her "favorite" son-in-law Hector, plus her 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and her dear nieces and nephews.

Irene was a very loving and caring mother, and she was loved by all who had the chance to meet her. She had many natural talents and artistic abilities, and her saying "do not waste time" proved to be her motto in life. As a devout Catholic, her Sunday obligation was the priority of the day, and her strength in life was based on her favorite scripture, Psalm 23. Her statue of the Infant Jesus and the novena gave others the message without words. Her physical strength was based on routine and moderation, including daily yoga exercises. And the love of music and dance were in her heart all the time.

Her family and friends will remember her joy of life, her smile, and her serene expression of peace with her saying until the last day: "Do not worry, everything will be fine."

A private vigil and rosary was held with her children this week.  A Funeral mass will follow in El Paso next week.  Please contact the family for further details.
