Ione Boone Saunders of Magnolia, TX passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 90. Ione was born in Lecompte, LA on May 10, 1934.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Henry and Agnes Boone, husband Roy Richard Saunders of 54 years of marriage, three sons-in-law Dan LaFollette, Will Lilly and Joe Guerra, five brothers Charna, J.T., William, Ray and Roy Boone, five sisters Wilma Johnson, Willie Doris (Bill) Hickman, Cherry Levesque, Callie Harvey and Sue Crawford.
Ione retired in 1992 after 17 years of service in the banking industry at Texas Commerce Bank (Chase) then moved to Magnolia to build their forever home.
She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Channelview, TX for over 30 years and moved to Walnut Creek Baptist Church, Magnolia, TX in 1995. Ione taught children's Sunday School for over 60 years making it her mission for young children to know and love Jesus and His church as much as she did.
She is survived by her four daughters Kathy LaFollette, Diane Lilly, Carol Parker and husband David and Wanda Guerra, all of Houston. Grandchildren Farrah Polk and husband Brian, Brenda Kavian, James LaFollette and wife Sarah, John LaFollette and wife Amber, Christina Garza and husband Jeff, Amy Lilly, Amanda Turner and husband Lawrence, Devin Parker and wife Brittany, Richard Guerra and wife Cynthia, Ralph Guerra and wife Tamra. Great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Noah, Jeremiah, Laila, Blake, Lawson, Autumn, Dustin, Brooks, Selby, Forrest, Reese, Emmie, Jaden and Anthony. Siblings Juanita Saunders, Mary Johnson, Terry Boone and Carolyn Ates, countless nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday, March 7, 2025, at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, TX with services at 2:00 pm with interment immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Ione to the American Heart Association.
