Iola Beatrice Thomas Moore, 87, passed away November 12, 2022, in Spring, Texas.
Iola Beatrice Thomas was born March 18, 1935 to Travis and Thelma Thomas in Seagraves, Texas. Iola graduated from high school in Seagraves. Following graduation Iola met Jack Moore in Kermit, Texas; they were married on October 10, 1954. Through 65 years of marriage, they had 4 children, Janis, Randy, Teresa and Robert, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. They lived in Kermit Texas, Snyder Texas, Miami Texas, Artesia New Mexico, and finally Houston Texas. Iola worked for Anne's Hallmark and also had in-home childcare while living in Artesia, NM. She co-owned a Temporary Services Company, SHE Enterprises in Houston Texas. Later she found her passion in designing Custom Window Treatments and Upholstery and she continued this until a few months ago. For 30+ years Jack and Iola attended Texas A&M football games. Iola also loved her Dallas Cowboys and her Houston Astros. Both she and Jack enjoyed playing Bridge, Dominoes and other card games with friends and family. She was passionate about her 11 grandchildren and always available to babysit, attend games or help in any way possible. When it came to her grand kids, she could never say NO!
Iola lived a life devoted to Christ, she was an active member at Miami Church of Christ in Miami Texas, Hermosa Drive Church of Christ in Artesia, New Mexico, and at Bammel Church of Christ in Houston Texas.
Iola is preceded in death by her parents Travis and Thelma Thomas and her husband Jack Moore. She is survived by a sister Wanda Dooley a brother and sister in law Rickey and Edith Thomas, her children (and spouse): Janis (Hal) Kirkpatrick, Randy (Sandy) Moore, Teresa (Alan) Cramer, and Robert (Laura) Moore. Grandchildren (and spouse); Lance (Lara) Thomas, Aaron (Jessica) Thomas, Brian (Courtney) Moore, Kelly Moore, Lindsay (Greg) Parker, Andrew (Elizabeth) Cramer, Royce Moore, Jared (Haley) Cramer, J.C. Degenhardt, J. Parker Moore, and Hailie Moore. Great grandchildren; Taylor Barton, Aaden Thomas, Rylan Thomas, Kaylin Barton, Micah Moore, Jalon Moore, Kalon Moore, Ethan Parker, Morgan Moore, Elliot Thomas, Paige Moore, Ella Parker, Olivia Cramer, Harrison Thomas, Connor Moore, Summer Cramer, Beckett Cramer and Cooper Cramer and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
