Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Imogean Edmonds who went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2025 at the age of 93. Born and raised in the hills of Kentucky by her loving Parents, Lee and Villa Davis, Jean was one of seven siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death. She was the last of her family, and her close knit bonds with her siblings were a cornerstone of her life. Jean's early years on the farm, as she wrote in her diaries, were filled with hard work, but they were also filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of faith.

A lifelong Christian, Jean was raised in the church and remained a faithful servant of God throughout her life. She married Richard Edmonds, on March 25, 1952, and together they shared 72 years of love, devotion, and partnership. Jean's love and commitment to her family and faith were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Jeans is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her daughter, Pamela Metro (Robert); her daughter-in-law, Unna Edmonds; her grandchildren, Sandra Lappe (Les), Daniel Metro, Stacy Metro (Troy Schlegel), Brent Edmonds, Bradley Edmonds, and Ashley Edmonds; and five nieces and nephews. She was also a proud grandmother to eight great grandchildern, all of whom she adored. Jean was preceded in death by her son, Randall Edmonds, who passed away on August 8, 2024.

Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire her family and many friends. Jean's love of life, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family and God will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A private memorial service with family will be held at The Church of the Nazerene. The date is yet to be determined.
