Ilde Rosa passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, at the age of 85 in Houston, Texas, surrounded by love and the enduring grace of her faith.

Born on March 25, 1940, in Carpinone, Italy, Ilde emigrated to the United States at the tender age of 14, beginning a remarkable life journey that took root in New York. After marrying the love of her life, Aldo Rosa, she later made her home in Houston, Texas, where she would raise her family and devote herself to a life of service, compassion, and unwavering faith.

To know Ilde was to love her. Her presence radiated warmth, kindness, and a rare selflessness that left a lasting impression on everyone she met whether for a moment or a lifetime. She had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for.

Guided by a profound and steadfast faith in God, Ilde dedicated her life to serving others. She served as a Chaplain and Interpreter at both MD Anderson Cancer Center and Methodist Hospital, bringing comfort, understanding, and spiritual support to countless individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments. Over the years, she was also involved in numerous volunteer activities within her church community. Her work was more than a calling—it was an extension of her boundless love of God and humanity.

Ilde was the cherished mother of Maria Ryan and her husband Barry, Debra Leal and her husband Ernest, and Daniela Kuchynka and her husband Kenneth; a proud and devoted Nonna to Katherine Ryan, Connor Guillot, Elizabeth Guillot, Gabriella Guillot, Jeremy Ryan, and Jacob Guillot; and a joyful great-grandmother to Thay and Tinh Vu. Her love for her family was immeasurable and unconditional.

She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Concetta Careri and Michelina Lisi and by many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched. Ilde now joins in eternal rest her beloved husband, Aldo Rosa; her parents, Vincenzo and Maria Fresegna; and her sister, Anna Frezacca.

Her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ilde's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, an organization close to the family's heart.
