Idellys Marilyn Anderson
April 14, 1930 – May 5, 2026

With grateful hearts and deep love, we remember Idellys Marilyn Anderson, affectionately called Dell. A woman of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and gentle love, Dell passed peacefully in Tomball, Texas, at the age of 96, entering the eternal presence of her Lord and Savior.

Dell was born on April 14, 1930, on a family farm in Story County, Iowa, to Herman and Myrtle Olson. Her parents passed on the values that defined her life—hard work, humility, kindness, and faith. As a devoted single mother, she raised her children with love and a steady reliance on the Lord, living her faith daily through example.

Dell cherished learning and believed in the power of education. After graduating from Roland High School, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. Later, she studied Library Science at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. As a school librarian, she delighted in nurturing young minds and sharing her love of books. Dell retired in 1992 and followed her daughters to Tomball, Texas, where she continued to live quietly and faithfully.

Dell is lovingly survived by her three children: Mary (Jim) Hagberg, Bruce (Marsha) Anderson, and Julie Anderson; her six grandchildren: Nathan (Heidi), Ben (Nadia), and Alec (Natasia) Hagberg; Eric (Brenda) Anderson, Michelle (Jeremy) McSpadden, and Nicole Anderson; and her thirteen great-grandchildren: Clayton, Halle, Logan, Judah, Eden, Barrett, Eli, Andrew, Gemma, Caleb, Oliver, Hailey, and Kyle. Her legacy of faith, care, and steadfastness lives on through each of them.

A memorial service celebrating Dell's life will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas, on May 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Dell will be remembered for her gentle spirit, faithful heart, and the love she poured into her family. She held fast to God's promise:
