Howard Freeman Yates was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on New Year's Day, 1940, and passed away on March 24, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Novella Yates; brothers, Byron Yates and Dale Yates; and sister, Shirley Glisson.

Howard is survived by his loving wife, Nenita F. Yates; his son, Darren D. Yates; granddaughter, Hannah Giles; brother, Russell Yates; sisters, Linda Yates Dorman and Lorraine Brewer; sister-in-law, Marina Feleo; and nephew, Noel Abrera.

Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Thursday, March 31, 2022 and from 4-8pm with a rosary at 7pm on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065.  Viewing from 1-2pm followed by a funeral service for Howard at 2pm will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home on Wortham Blvd.
