Howard "Skipper" Wilkins was born on October 25th, 1960, in Houston, Texas to Harry and Nelwyn Wilkins. He was the fourth of five children. Howard spent most of his adult working life in Houston's Air Conditioning industry like his father, Harry Walter Wilkins II.
Maintaining an avid soccer affinity, Howard was respected and admired for his soccer skills and many friendships built over his lifetime. His love of people, music, generosity, and humility will be remembered. He loved and lived in the Houston area. He was passionate about "Ford" sportscars and also loved to travel to exotic locations.
Once when Howard's sister and brother in law's HVAC went out, he arranged for a new HVAC to be delivered and installed. When his father was elderly and ill, he helped take care of him. When his mother was ill and suffering for many years, he did the best he could to take care of her for over fifteen years living with her as her main caregiver.
Howard is survived by his daughter, Magan Wilkins, mother Nelwyn Wilkins, sister Roxana Herrera, brother Herman Wilkins, sister Elena Blume and Nieces, Nephews and Great Niece and Great Nephew. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his only child, Monique "Niky" Joubert Hymel. Howard is predeceased by his father, Harry Walter Wilkins II, and his brother Harry "Bubba" Walter Wilkins III.
There will be a graveside service for closest family and friends.
