Howard Payne Taylor, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on September 17, 2025, in Tomball, Texas, at the age of 82.

Born on November 1, 1942, in Houston, Texas, Howard lived a life defined by love, servanthood, humility, and quiet strength. He was preceded in death by his sister, Melba Clewis, brother, Bruce Taylor, and sons Tracy Taylor and Troy Taylor.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Taylor, sister Gina Quintanilla,  sons Billy Talbott and Bobby Talbott; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Howard was a man of deep character and unwavering dedication to his family. He was known for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and the wisdom he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on in the lives of his children and grandchildren, and in the countless memories held by friends and loved ones.

A service will be held to honor Howard's life at 11 AM on Tuesday, 09/23/2025 at Living Word Lutheran Church, 9500 N Panther Creek Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77381. Viewing and visitation will be at the church at 10 AM preceding the service.  Graveside will immediately follow the service at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, 22601 Lutheran Church Rd, Tomball, TX 77377.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Living Word Lutheran Church, Camp Hope, Star of Hope, or a charity of your choice in his memory.

Howard will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
