Hermelinda Cummins

1965-2017

Hermelinda Cummins, 51, of Spring Texas, passed away on March, 24, 2017 from complications after a fall at home.

A native Houstonian, she was born October, 17, 1965 the youngest of six children. She grew up in the East Aldine area. She attended, Johnson Elementary, Hambrick Middle and graduated from MacArthur High School. Hermelinda was on her high school volley ball team, a class officer and excelled academically. After high school she attended North Harris county collage and joined the work force.

Hermelinda's outgoing nature and warm personality gained her a multitude of friends throughout the years. Amazingly she stayed close and in touch with very many of them, even back to grade school.

Although she worked most of her adult life Hermelinda was a devoted mother. Her children were the light of her life. She loved being involved with them whether it was scouting, drill team or band. She also enjoyed traveling with them once taking a five week cross county road trip.

Hermelinda is survived by her children Isabella and Mark, their father Mike sisters Rosario and Janie, brothers Benjamin and Lauro, niece Laura her husband Julian and their children, as well as countless other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister Maria and father Guadalupe.

A Memorial Mass to honor Hermelinda's life will be officiated at St Edward Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:30am.
