Herman Ramsey Hooks Jr. of Spring, TX passed away February 3rd, 2025. He was born October 2nd,1947 in Silsbee, Tx to the late Herman Ramsey Hooks Sr. and Lemoine Jarrell Hooks.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Hooks of Spring TX, his daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Jason Enriquez, of Piscataway, NJ, his granddaughter, Gillian Pruetz, of Piscataway, NJ, his sister Nancy Gardner and husband Harry of Zavalla, sister Melinda Eaves of Silsbee, his brother Johnny Hooks and his fiancé Elaine of Livingston, and his sister Patricia Knoblock and husband Billie of Silsbee.
Including his parents he was preceded in death by his loving son, Stephen Hooks, of Spring, TX.
Herman was an accomplished salesman, a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was well loved by his family and friends.
The first thing that most people would notice about Herman was his piercing blue eyes, his loud boisterous laugh, his big, beautiful smile, or his wonderful sense of humor. He was quick witted, and he had an immediate way of putting people at ease with just his presence.
Those that knew Herman knew that he was always ready with a joke to bring a smile to someone's face, or ready to listen when they needed help or someone to talk to. The only thing larger than Herman's personality or his laugh was the love he had for his family and friends. Herman will be greatly missed by all.
Memorial contributions can be made under his name to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
