"They call me Hank….."

Henri Sue Kellogg passed away peacefully on June 22, 2023, in Tomball, Texas at the age of 81.

She was born Henri Sue Spencer on June 30, 1941, to Henry Ruben and Loneita Opal Spencer at St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. As a young girl, Sue's family transferred throughout the State of Texas while her father worked for the railroad commission. They finally settled in Houston, Texas where Sue remained for many years. Over her lifetime, Sue married 4 times to: Jimmy Banfield, Boo Mason, Richard Reeves and finally Mike Kellogg. She was proud of this and would tell anyone that wanted to listen, and everyone loved to listen to those stories! Sue held several work positions, eventually leading her to Wainoco Oil & Gas Company in the late 70's throughout the mid 90's where she was a Production Manager. She retired and moved to Brown City, Michigan in the late 90's so she could be near her grandsons. There, she worked for Marion's Studio, Bud's Restaurant and finally ended her career at Brown City Community Schools where she still has many friends to this day. Sue moved back to Tomball, Texas with her family in 2011 where she remained until her death.

During her early life Sue played the piano, was involved in dance recitals and horseback riding. Sue was a formidable competitor in her bowling league, coached softball and attended nearly every game her children and grandchildren ever participated in. Sue LOVED anything George Strait and was one hell of a dancer, get her on the dance floor and she took over! Although not a self-professed cook, Sue made a mean egg sandwich and left us with her famous spicy goulash recipe to enjoy.

Sue was preceded in death by an infant son, Baby Mason, her parents Henry and Opal Spencer, sister and brother-in-law Betty Lou and Don Ward, and grandchildren Angie Grubb and Randall Grubb.

Sue is survived by her children, Kelly (Suzanne) Mason, Kristi (Leland) Grubb, grandson's Brandon (Brittany) Mason, Cameron (Kayla) Mason and Dylan (Holly) Mason. She is also survived by 8 GREAT grandchildren (#9 due to be born on her 82nd birthday – June 30), Scarlett & Adaline Mason, Wyatt, Camri, Brynn, and #9 Mason, and Jackson & Tinley Towles and Brodie Mason. Also, niece Jana (Dave) Epplin and great-nephews Tom Epplin and Joe Epplin.

For everyone who knows Sue's personality, we hope when you think of her it brings a smile to your face and a spring in your step! She lived her life to the fullest, exactly the way she wanted, was fiercely protective of her family and left us with an undeniable sense that she was truly one of a kind. We were blessed she was ours. If she crossed your path, we hope it led to good times, good fellowship, and even better memories!
