Helga Christel Perrin, age 84, passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas, on May 10, 2026.
Born in East Prussia, Helga's life took a courageous turn in her early teens when she immigrated to the United States. She was welcomed and raised with love by her aunt and uncle, Ruth and Albert Dannehl, who provided her with a new home and a fresh start.
Though she was known for being a bit shy, Helga possessed a quiet strength and a keen, observant nature. She saw the beauty in the small things and had a wonderful sense of humor; her laughter was a gift to those who knew her well.
A master gardener, Helga found her greatest peace outdoors. Her yard and landscape in Houston were a testament to her patience and skill, blooming as a vibrant reflection of her spirit. When she wasn't in her garden, she was in the kitchen. For Helga, food was a love language. Especially during the holidays, she poured her heart into meals that brought her family together, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Helga is survived by her loving children: her son, Kerry Perrin, and his wife, Joan; and her youngest daughter, Kendra Perrin.She is Proceeded in death by oldest daughter Kami Carmona. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to enjoy the beauty she created in the world.
