Helen "Babe" Dickson Walker

Helen "Babe" Dickson Walker went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2017 at her home in Tomball, TX. She was born April 29, 1931 to Wilburne "Cotton" and Inez Lee Dickson, and had the opportunity to see many places in Texas as her father built a successful drilling company.  They eventually settled in Houston, Texas where she attended Lamar High School and graduated in the class of 1950.

Helen moved to Pall Mall, Tennessee where she owned and operated a dairy farm and became a local legend. She eventually moved back to Houston where she met the love of her life, Larry, and they were married on June 30, 1973.  Since then, they have been inseparable as they managed many business opportunities and travelled the world together.

Anyone who knew her, knew Helen was larger than life itself. She was an incredible cook, who loved to entertain, travel, read and most of all share her joy to others around her.  She found the greatest happiness in making memories with her great grandsons, Carter and Braden, and her granddaughter, Lacey and husband Chris.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Walker, granddaughter Lacey Hughes & husband Chris of Tomball, TX, two great grandsons, Carter and Braden Hughes, daughter Theresa Williams Hurst of Pall Mall, TN, son Kenneth Austin Williams of Tomball, TX, grandson Austin Lee Williams of Tomball, TX and many other friends, family and loved ones. She is proceeded in death by her parents Wilburne Austin "Cotton" Dickson and mother Inez Lee Dickson, brother Henry "Link" Dickson and sister Frances Dickson McCoy.

Graveside service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale at 12 p.m. at 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
