Obituary

Helen Louise Cottrell born December 11, 1942 was called home on December 10, 2020. Louise was number 3 of 6 children by Claretta Black Cottrell and Christopher Cottrell. Born in Dayton, Ohio and a memorable childhood home in Crossville, Tennessee Louise loved family and her siblings. Louise later moved to Pasadena, Texas as a teen with her Aunt and Uncle. In 1962 she gave birth to her first child, Kimberly Kay Burts, after moving to Tomball, Texas. Louise then had her son in 1964, Wade Earl Burts. Louise married Pierce Owens and had their daughter Dangel Owens in 1973. During her life she worked as a waitress, a CPA assistant, a restaurant manager, sold Avon, a seamstress and owned her own resale business with Pierce. But her most loved job was dietary manager for 13 years with Southern Knights Assisted Living Center. Louise loved the opportunity to make others happy with her hobbies of cooking, baking, painting, sewing and most of all gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband Pierce, her daughter Kim, brother's Robert Cottrell, Larry Cottrell and Bill Cottrell. Louise is survived by her son Wade, her daughter Dangel, her brother Chris Cottrell and sister Melba Cottrell. Grandchildren: James Davis, Krystal Miller, Joshua Loyd, Lacy Burts, Shelby Burts, Montgomery Owens, Tucker Coon, 9 great grandchildren. Louise will be deeply missed for her sharp wit and truthful sass but most of all for her pure love for her family.
