Harry Gene Stegint, proud husband, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on January 15, 2026. He faced his final days with remarkable strength, dignity, and unwavering faith. He was born on January 21, 1955, in Houston, Texas, the son of Felix and Catherine Strzelecke Stegint.

Harry was a man of deep conviction, integrity, and resolve. He stood firmly for what was right, never backed down, and never gave up—qualities that defined both his life and his character. His courage was a true testament to the strength of his spirit.

A devoted and proud husband, Harry shared a once-in-a-lifetime love with his wife, Danielle. They were true soulmates, bound by a love rooted in faith, loyalty, and a belief that the Lord brought them together. Their marriage was a gift from God and the greatest love of their lives.

He was a loving father with his proudest accomplishment being his two sons, Wayne and Brian. He took great pride in his family, prioritizing his loved ones above all things, and leaves a legacy of strength, resilience, and compassion for others that his sons will always cherish and admire about him.

Harry dedicated 47 years of his life to Dresser Industries, where his strong work ethic, loyalty, and commitment were evident until his retirement. His career reflected the same principles by which he lived—hard work, perseverance, and integrity.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time in the peace in quiet of nature, hunting, fishing, and sitting around the fire making memories with those around him and enjoying the outdoors.

Although we are heartbroken, we find solace in knowing that Harry's strong Catholic faith has carried him safely home. He is now healed, whole, and at rest, guided by the Blessed Mother Mary, who has tenderly embraced him and led him into the presence of her Son.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Frances (Kubeczka) Stegint; his sister, Dorothy Stegint Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Donald Laas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Danielle; his sons, Wayne (Daniela) and Brian (Casie); his grandchildren (Hunter, Callie, Amalie, and Ayla); Danielle's family; his sister, Mary Stegint Laas; his niece, Sue Stegint Tate (Mark); and extended family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

The family would like to extend their deepest and most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Devesh Pandya, MD, at Texas Oncology, and to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Houston Methodist Hospital Medical Center. Your bedside compassion, kindness, and unwavering care not only comforted Harry, but also surrounded our family during the most difficult moments of his journey. The respect, dignity, and genuine humanity you showed will forever be remembered and deeply appreciated.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23rd, from 5:00–8:00 PM, with the Rosary at 7:00 PM
