It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry S. Schmucker, Jr. of Houston Texas on January 13 ^th , 2021 from natural causes.

Most of us knew Harry by his nickname Butch.  Butch was born on October 21, 1935 in New Philadelphia, Ohio and moved to Canton, Ohio shortly thereafter.  After graduating from McKinley High School in 1953, he married his high school sweetheart, El Davis.  Butch worked at U.S. Steel for several years before he & El purchased their first of many bars/restaurants, The Dan Door.  He had an entrepreneurial spirit and throughout his career owned 15 businesses in 9 different industries.

Butch loved to talk to his customers, play cards, shoot pool, watch sports and spend time with his family and 4 legged kids.

Butch  was predeceased by his wife El, sister Marianne and his parents.  He is survived by his four daughters  Terrie Harper and husband Rusty, Tammy Norman and husband Kim, Stephanie Harville and husband Greg, Buffy DuPont and husband David; his 8 grandchildren, Rick Fenwick, Elle Norman, Morgan Starks, Tara Brooks, Creston DuPont, Gracie DuPont, May DuPont, Celeste Cantrell and 3 great grandchildren Mackenzie and Chloe Fenwick and Ashley Cantrell.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at the Klein Memorial Park at 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, Texas in the Mausoleum Chapel.  A celebration of life will be immediately after the services at 16311 Amcreek Drive, Houston, Texas 77068.
